Ze space, it shrinketh!

Mom is back at home, packing up stuff, coz all (or most) of the furniture is getting shipped to Blink's place. He and my sis-in-law have bought a house -- ZOMG my baby brother now owns REAL ESTATE!!!! *faint* -- so my parents are "donating" our furniture to them, lucky fellas ;)

I couldn't go home coz of my exams, so I asked Mom to just empty out all the stuff in my cupboard and drawers into a couple of boxes and send them to Blink's place. I can always pick up the boxes later (Blink stays about an hour away from me).

Later, Mom called: "You have cassettes on your bed. Do you still use cassettes?"

"In my car player. Mom, why are you sorting through my stuff? I thought I asked you to just dump everything into a box."

"You have SO MUCH STUFF! I don't even have enough boxes for it! I've gotta go get more boxes!"

Oh.

Well yeah, I had lots of stuff back home coz it was like putting things in storage, y'know? You think home will always be there, somewhere to go back to, immovable, unchanging... next thing you know, your parents have decided to live half-way across the country :P

All my old photo albums are back home, letters my pen-pals sent to me, little cards and bookmarks friends have given, knick-knacks I have no place to display at the moment, collections of key chains and goodness knows what else, etc. Relics of my girlhood.

And don't forget, FOUR BOXES OF BOOKS. Which Mom was quick to remind me of.

ZOMG where to put, where to put????
