One more day
Tomorrow's my last day at work. Tonight, I'll be calling Dad to talk to him about studying full-time for one semester.
Meanwhile, I have been tanking interviews right and left (mostly on purpose) and turning down job offers. O.o
A few days ago, my boss asked me whether I would consider staying on until they manage to find a replacement. I'm actually free the entire month of December because, if Dad is amenable, my classes only start on December 31. But I said no.
One of the other bosses invited me to work for him for a month, doing administrative stuff similar to what I'm doing now. I also said no.
I went for interviews with two magazines where I was told there would be a lot of work and long hours involved. I made it clear that I have to attend classes and do assignments (we are graded based on 50% coursework and 50% exams). Both the interviewers and I agreed the result was no.
The thing is, I am not opposed to the idea of working in December, but I also want to take some time off -- for one thing, I was looking forward to visiting Blink and Chen May; I've never been to their house. For another, if I do end up studying full-time, I'll be doing 5 subjects at a breakneck pace. So I wanted to grab a brief breather before that madness starts. Am trying to balance the need for rest and the need to earn money. The good thing is that bears in hibernation do not eat!
