Make-up needed urgently

I have been hunting all over for someone to help me do make-up. Because apart from lipstick, I don't own any make-up AT ALL! And I am going to be a bridesmaid this Saturday!!! Arrrggggh!

"Why you so last-minute lah wei?" Lynnee asked.

"Coz it never occurred to me that I must put make-up," I replied.

"Adoi... you are the bridesmaid!" she exclaimed in disbelief.

"I thought apply lipstick can already, since that's what I did for my brother's wedding mah," I defended myself.

Truly, I never even THOUGHT about make-up until the bride told me she was getting a make-up artist from Bobbi Brown to help her with her make-up and the artist was willing to do the three bridesmaids' make-up for $100 per person if we are interested. What? Spend $100 on some goop that I'm going to wash off my face anyway? No way, man!

Besides, the bride had also looked at me consideringly and said, "I think you should consider getting your hair done on that day" -- another thing I'd never even thought of (hey, I didn't even get my hair done for my convocation gala dinner and studio pictures, okay!). Styling my hair will cost $50, and that's another thing that doesn't last longer than a day. But okay lah, I cannot possibly style my own hair, and yes, I am one of the bridesmaids; at least I will look good standing next to the gorgeous bride, right? *grin*

Still, I belatedly realised that if the bride, her sister (maid of honour) and her mom are going to have this professional make-up thingy going on... I am going to look naked with nothing on my face but lipstick. Arrrggggh! I need foundation! Powder! Blusher! And goodness knows what else!

(I'm hoping to get away with not doing up my eyes, since I have small eyes and they're hidden behind my glasses -- who's going to notice?)

So anyway... SOS. I need to borrow make-up from someone. I did have tons of the stuff when I was experimenting in college, but I seldom used it coz it was too bothersome, and then when I started working in the media industry I got to see for myself how make-up can make a person look totally different. I don't trust make-up, because it's supposed to make me look more beautiful... why should I need to make myself look more beautiful? This is me, the real me. I don't want to look like someone else. I don't want to have more exotic eyes or pouty lips or blemish-free skin or a fairer complexion. And I quite resent the implication that I should want to have all these things.

Okay, rant over ;) Make-up, anyone? HELP!!!!!!
