The insanity is catching

Nowadays I read the newspapers almost every day because my boss says I must. This is a ground-breaking development because I didn't even read the newspapers daily when I was working with the newspaper!

So usually I find weird things from blogs but now I'm finding them from the newspaper. Like how Cadbury wants to build a six-foot tall chocolate sculpture to mark Merdeka Day (Independence Day). What a waste of perfectly good chocolate, if you ask me.

Of course, the bonus is, they get to run a contest so that people can help them decide what kind of animal to sculpt -- and in the process, sell more chocolate bars. Not to mention, get into the Malaysia Book of Records for creating the largest animal chocolate sculpture in the country. Let's hope this doesn't spur like-minded competition from Nestlé and Vochelle. One nutty chocolate company is enough. I never did like nuts in my chocolate.

Next. THIS PAINTING by Mark Rothko, just fetched $US72.8 million at Sotheby's in New York.

White Center, a painting by Mark Rothko

Do you see that painting? Do you??? How many of you are right now thinking, "Hey, I could have painted that"? Heck, my 12-year-old cousins could paint that! And it's fetching $US72.8 million? Sheesh. I knew I was in the wrong profession!
