The Wilful Sunflower

Sunflower: Okay, tell me one weird thing about me that people on the blog don't know yet... coz I just got tagged to write 6 weird things about myself. If can give more also good :P

Emmy: Hmmm one weird thing about you -- you always flatten your food to let it cool -- eg. fried rice

Sunflower: LOL

Emmy: You don't drink anything hot

Sunflower: Some more??? :D

Emmy: Thinking... cannot think of anything else that they don't know

Sunflower: Hehe

Emmy: You can sleep on cold, hard floor and be comfortable!!

Sunflower: That's not so weird, what

Emmy: It is! I can't do that

Sunflower: Don't you notice, my bro does that too :D

Emmy: You BOTH are weird. What else have you thought of?

Sunflower: Picking all the onion and garlic and spring onion out of my food...

Emmy: I do that also, which makes me weird too. Haha

Sunflower: On Saturday night we went to KTZ and I had mango loh... I was picking out the mango fibre and my friends were amazed!!

Emmy: I do that too!! But not like so meticulously lah -- if I can feel it in my mouth, then I remove it

Sunflower: If I can SEE it, out it comes! I think you don't pick as meticulously as I do. My friends said torturous to watch me leh :P

Emmy: Ehhehehehee

Sunflower: Do you think it's weird that I'm either VERY dolled up or very selekeh (carelessly dressed)?

Emmy: Hmmm no, I don't really think that's weird. It's just you :P

Sunflower: LOL

 
There you have it. Six weird things about me (actually, I've done this before, but I figured I'm probably weird enough to go another round, and Dr Alex Tang asked):

1. When I receive my food, I spread the rice or noodles all over the plate because the greater surface area will cause it to cool faster. I don't like to eat piping hot food.
2. I don't like to drink hot beverages -- not even teh tarik (tea with milk & sugar). I don't drink warm water. Usually the only time I drink warm stuff is when I'm having a cough and am not feeling well.
3. My housemate Emmy thinks I'm weird because I can lie down on the cold tiled marble floor and fall asleep. But my brother and my dad do that too, so I don't think it's weird at all!
4. When it comes to romance novels, I always read the endings first. That's how I decide whether to buy the book. All my friends think I'm really weird to do this, since these books always have a happy ending. But the ending is where conflicts are resolved, misunderstandings are cleared up, difficulties are untangled and the couple ends up cementing their relationship. It sums up the entire story. If the ending isn't good, it stands to reason that the story won't be good either.
5. I can't stand to have even a single strand of hair lie on my face, which is why I'm always pushing my hair back behind my ears, or tying it or clipping it up when it's long. I can't stand floppy fringes that droop into my eyes and I don't understand how other girls can stand it.
6. I'm very meticulous about removing all the bits of onions, garlic, spring onions and strips of ginger from my food. I normally don't start eating until this is done, which has the added benefit of allowing my food time to cool down!
