Good gracious, he's getting married!
Well, then. Blink and his fiancée, Chen May, have just set the date. First it was "maybe June", then it was "probably December" and now it's "definitely May 5". What? May 5? That's like TWO MONTHS AWAY!
What am I going to wear?!?!
I still can't get my head round the fact that my baby brother is getting married. I mean, he's not supposed to be old enough to even be thinking of girls, y'know? The other day Ariel commented that before I know it, I'll have little nieces and nephews to hug, and I was like... my goodness, I can't imagine Blink as a dad. When it happens, I probably won't be able to stop laughing!
Mom, of course, has called me, fretting about the wedding preparations. She's too far away to help with anything, so she feels the need to give lots of advice. Not only does she give advice, she gives it to the wrong person. "Your brother ah, he should take that into consideration, you know. And he must do this and this and this..." Really, I find this aspect of her quite annoying, although Blink's pretty blasé about it. "Aiyah, why you let it bother you so much," he'll say, when I complain to him.
The wedding is to be in Chen May's hometown, which means I'm not involved in the preparations either, unless there's something they need my help with. Well, actually, there was something. They asked if they could borrow my car to use as the bridal car. You know, the car the groom uses to go get the bride? The one decorated with ribbons and stuff?
Long-time readers will vividly recall numerous mentions of car trouble peppered all over my blog. And Blink wants to drive my car long-distance to Chen May's home? Just imagining it is enough to make me shudder. The last thing you want is to get stranded on the highway the day before the wedding!
Now that that's settled... what am I going to WEAR?!?!?!
