Eventful, you say
Yes yes, my blog was down yesterday, and if you want to know why, ask Bob. He handles all the tech stuff. SOMEBODY did not wake up till 4:00pm. SOMEBODY did not even wake up though I called him five times in a row. Five times!
Anyway, everything should be back to normal now. Even comments. In case you were wondering.
I have been sick for almost three weeks. Coughing and coughing. It started on Feb 24 and today is March 15 and I am STILL coughing! Not to mention, have developed runny nose. My germs are so potent that I have re-infected the colleague who gave them to me in the first place. *evil laugh*
The one good thing is that when I'm sick, I always look really sick. It satisfies my inherent sense of drama and makes people kesian (take pity on) me. Imagine if you were sick but looked perfectly fine and nobody would believe that you were unwell. How sad would that be?
Exams are in mid-April and 5,000-word assignments due for all three subjects two weeks from now. I'm not sure whether I will make it... I feel like I hardly know anything, and I haven't had much time to spend on my studies. Work has been crazy and I've ended up working most weekends, including the one just past. Yeah, the company pays OT but to me it's never been a question of money. Still, if circumstances call for it, I guess there isn't much one can say.
I found THE dress! I bought a dress to wear at my brother's wedding. It had to fit three criteria:
- 1. Be any colour but black;
2. Cost less than RM150; and
3. Not make me look like a dumpling.
After an hour's preliminary shopping in Mid Valley Megamall on Monday night, I added another item to the list:
- 4. Doesn't expose any cleavage.
Coz I realised that most of the dresses and evening gowns in stores are cleavage-inducing and my mother would have a fit if I were to wear something like that to church, wedding or no wedding!
3 out of 4 isn't bad... the dress cost RM189, which is about the average price for a dressy kind of dress to wear to dinners and such. I walked into Metrojaya yesterday, saw the dress on the rack, tried it on, loved it, and bought it. Was done in 15 minutes flat. I am the antithesis of the normal indecisive female who has to be reassured umpteen thousand times that the dress is fine and doesn't make her look fat and the colour is not too dark and the design is not too elaborate for the occasion and the embroidery does not make it look 'auntie' and WILL YOU PLEASE GO PAY FOR THE DRESS ALREADY?!?! This is why I don't have much patience to go shopping with other women. Sheesh.
I am delighted with the dress and very pleased that the process of finding it was so painless. It kind of makes up for being sick and snowed under with work and stressed about assignments and worried about exams and frantic that we still don't have any new housemates in the offing.
