Two becoming one!
Two of my favourite people recently got together: my beloved housemate Emmy, and my friend Sherman. Guess who was the matchmaker? *grin*
Truthfully, I had no idea this would happen. In my usual way, I would talk to Emmy about Sherman and talk to Sherman about Emmy... I always tell others about the people in my life; that's normal. Emmy is like the sister I've never had, and Sherman like the big brother I've never had.
Having them become a couple is a bit weird in a way coz I've never been close to both parties in a relationship before. I mean, usually my friends go and find someone I either don't know, or don't know very well. So there would be a sense that my friend was somehow being 'taken away' by someone else. (I didn't say that feelings are logical.) Now I still have both friends, but things have changed and I'm still adjusting to that indefinable subtle difference.
It's so funny to have Sherman blissfully telling me over and over again how much he loves Emmy and so sweet to read what he says about her on his blog. I'm thrilled that they're together and that they're so happy about it!
