Tonight I made a new friend. He was telling me about a blog he'd read where the writer had been praising God, and I blinked... there's been precious little of such things going on here lately. In fact, now that I think of this, I seem to have been getting more self-absorbed and negative over the past year or so. "Angsty and wallowing in it," is Bob's blunt summation.
When God bonks me on the head, I generally try to sit up and take notice. Time for an attitude adjustment! -- of course, God also has a sense of humour. I'm flying to Sabah in a few hours' time to visit my family for a week. A whole seven days. Aieeeeeeee! So I'm going to have lots of opportunities to exercise this attitude adjustment. Well, as they say, practice makes perfect...
