Taboo topics
For personal reference -- things not to be blogged about when one's mother starts reading one's blog:
- Anything that would give her cause to call you up just to say, "I told you so".
- Rants about how your parents drive you crazy (in that totally loving way only parents can).
- Your weird sleeping hours, which can be partly blamed on distressing, time-consuming nocturnal habits such as online chatting.
- Your dubious eating habits, which include eating banana cake two days after its expiry date.
- Your up-close-and-personal encounter with mushrooms (not the magic kind) after soaking the laundry but never actually doing the laundry.
- The fact that you voluntarily went to a book sale, not to mention the possibility that you might have purchased even more books to add to the mountains you already have.
- That time you bought three pairs of shoes in a week (although you feel much less guilty now, after hearing that Lynnee bought SEVEN pairs in a week!).
- The fact that, for two Sundays in a row, you've missed out going to church to worship God. Sinner!
- The new li'l dent you put in your car last week when you backed into a parked lorry you somehow didn't see. (Actually, you saw it, you just didn't think it was THAT close. Maybe it moved! Silly lorry should have just jumped out of the way.)
