Rather flat

Cars: The Movie"You wanna see Cars? There's a press screening tomorrow and they've asked me to invite a few bloggers," said former colleague, Eyeris.

Wah, just like the good ol' days. Press screening of new movie. *nostalgia*

FREE MOVIE?? Of course I go lah!!! lol

I had never even seen the trailer -- don't ask me where I've been, I dunno either -- so I didn't have a clue what the movie was about... other than it had something to do with cars (d'oh). Only later did I realise that not a single human figure appeared in this movie. Imagine a world with no people. Or people as cars. I mean, cars as people. Err, you get what I mean.

Cars with personalities, and not only that, with expressions. Coolness. Great animation.

The story itself isn't as engaging as Finding Nemo or as entertaining as The Incredibles (which is still my favourite of the Pixar movies so far). Younger children may find Cars boring because it doesn't have a great deal of action -- despite having a racing car as the central character -- and mostly rides on the dialogue between the characters. The script isn't as witty as that of The Incredibles although as usual, there is one character (rusty tow truck Mater, voiced by Larry the Cable Guy) who is meant to provide comic relief.

I'd say that Cars is a nice movie, but it comes off as just that -- nice. Rather bland, for me, and not something I'd wanna watch again. The Incredibles? I bought the DVD after catching the movie on the cinema screen.
