At the movies
Just saw X-men: The Last Stand. I didn't like it. Anti-climatic, and too many people die. Sorry, I like happy endings, but to me, merely getting things resolved and having the good guys win doesn't make for a happy ending, just a neat and tidy one. Your mileage may vary ;)
I liked Mission Impossible III much better. A great deal less predictable, more emotion, and Tom Cruise is more handsome than Hugh Jackman (yes yes, I know Cruise is short. But I judge handsomeness by face and Cruise just has a better face than Jackman does).
Housemate: "But Hugh Jackman is so macho."
Me: "Pah! Scott (James Marsden) is more good-looking!"
Talking about male movie leads, the James Bond Casino Royale trailer was shown before tonight's X-men movie and I swear Daniel Craig doesn't look in the least bit like a James Bond. I'm sorry, he's just not suave enough. He looks craggy and outdoorsy, nothing like the elegant smooth-talking polished charmer that Bond is supposed to be. Pierce Brosnan still embodies the ideal Bond for me. (Plus remember, I am a person who hates change!

(Mom is so going to read this post and think I watch too many movies. Really, Mom, I don't. I never even saw any of the Matrix movies!)
You know who I think might possibly make a great Bond? Dermot Mulroney. Man, was he hot in The Wedding Date or what??
