In brief (I think)

I've hardly had any time to get online over the past few days. Friday was my last working day, so I was rushing to finish up my last few assignments, going around saying my good-byes, and getting caught up in nostalgia. I'll be on leave the rest of the month.

The nostalgia is not so much for the place as it is for the people. You work in a company for four years, you develop an easy camaraderie with some people, and I didn't just want to disappear without saying goodbye...

I haven't even cleared my desk! Arrgh! But I still have the rest of the month to do that. Being a journalist has been very bad for my pack-rat tendencies -- we get so many press releases and I have so many print-outs with info on various artistes and other topics. I've always been terrified to throw anything out in case I might need it again in future. Now I'll probably need to steel myself and throw it all out, coz otherwise what would I possibly do with it all?

Friday night I went to Alexis Ampang with Janelle to listen to live jazz: Angelita Li singing, accompanied by Greg Lyons on saxophone, Mike Veerapen on piano, Andy Peterson on bass, Lewis Pragasam on drums and Steve Thornton on percussion. Not that any of those names mean anything to me, but they might to some of you ;)

Got home at 2am or thereabouts, and Saturday was a full day: non-stop in and out, meeting people, including Bob, Lady Snoflek, and Nick Tay. Went to Glad Tidings for church service, after which I was asked, "How did you find the service?" Didn't quite know what to say, so I replied, "Uh, it was... like church!" *sheepish smile*

Today I had to work in the morning, then did a bit of shopping, came home and crashed on the couch, woke at 8:30pm and went out for dinner, then got home and went online :D

And my Streamyx connection is driving me crazy!! It keeps disconnecting and re-connecting! *tears hair out*

Am driving back to my hometown tomorrow so don't expect frequent updates... I think I'll be back home for about a week. I'll see you when I see you ;) I'd better post this while I still have a connection... *grumbles*
