Finding Mr I-want-to-spend-my-whole-life-with

wedding cake of a sortI attended a friend's wedding today. That's a picture of one of the small cake boxes normally placed on the table, beside the plate of each guest... it contains a slice of fruit cake. I think that's supposed to be your share of the wedding cake. (Nobody, in my experience, has ever gotten to taste the REAL wedding cake. I wonder what happens to it after it gets cut by the newly wedded couple.)

I know I've said this before, but sometimes it feels like EVERYBODY is getting married -- or delivering babies. From this month till the end of the year, I know of at least five friends getting married.

No, no, I'm not wailing or bemoaning my single state; I'm just surprised at how everybody seems to be getting married at the same time ;)

When I think about it, I'm just amazed that all these people managed to find somebody they wanted to marry and commit their whole lives to. I mean, they make it look so easy. Like with the couple who married today... they were best friends for many years before falling in love and finally tying the knot. (Kinda like Mr & Mrs Happy.) My best friend is Janelle and she is a girl. She is also engaged. Okay, there's obviously no point me looking in that direction... *grin*

How, or why, does everything fall into place for some people, just like that? *snaps fingers*  Finding someone you want to spend your life with sometimes feels like that game, "Pin the tail on the donkey". I feel like I'm blindfolded and I keep making random stabs in the dark. Where is that guy? How do I find him? I have no idea.
