Why Blink is Blink
Several people have asked why Blink is called Blink. "Does he blink a lot?" asked Ariel, who got to meet Blink in person after church service on Saturday evening.
Well you see, Blink is a guy and like most guys, is typically mong cha-cha (blur). So it used to be that when I asked him something, he'd have that blank look on his face, and would blink at me -- like, "Huh??"
At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it :P
I'm the only one who calls him Blink, so it's a sisterly thing. He calls me 'iQ' and 'Sunflower' -- he's the only one in my family who doesn't call me by my Chinese name. Coz when I chose the name Sunflower, I lamented that people who knew me were already so used to my Chinese name, they couldn't possibly make the switch. Blink bet me he would be able to do it, and he did! (I can't remember what was at stake or whether there was a real 'bet' at all... but he was the only one to call me 'Sunflower' in "real life" for the next few years, till I went to college and started telling everybody I met that I was Sunflower... *grin*)
