Zombiefied

I ended up sleeping at 4am, woke at 5am and left the house at 6am. I was supposed to meet The Boss and my colleagues at KL Sentral, where you can catch a train to the airport, and I got there before anybody, even The Boss, because I'm so neurotic I'm always afraid I'll miss my plane or bus or taxi or something. So I tend to be early for these things. The Boss had said to be there by 7am but I was there by 6:30am.

I checked in, got my train ticket, and lay down on a bench... then some guy came along and said, "Excuse me, no sleeping." Dunno who he was coz he didn't seem to be in any kind of uniform, but just coz I can't lie down doesn't mean I can't sleep, you know. I perfected the fine art of sleeping sitting up when I was in law school. I used to sit in the third row from the front and nod off right in front of my lecturer's nose. (Please don't tell my parents I said that!)

Eventually The Boss came along and then the others did and we got in the train and went to the airport, where we had breakfast. I never have breakfast but I succumbed to peer pressure -- "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" The Boss intoned -- and besides, there was nothing else to do apart from eat. So I ate lor :P

It should be a crime for air stewardesses to be so cheerful so early in the morning. If I were not so half-dead, I would've wanted to deck 'em. Needless to say, I slept on the plane (even though the flight was only 40 minutes long), slept on the 30-minute taxi ride to the hotel, checked in and slept half-an-hour before we re-assembled for lunch, after lunch slept on the taxi ride to our regional office, in the office sat down in a chair and slept whilst waiting for the Relevant People to appear and attend to us.

If catnaps are a good thing, I do believe I have the fine art of catnapping down pat.
