Who drives?
Do you ever find yourself asking the strangest questions? This is a conversation I had with my housemate, Emmy, about two months ago as I was driving to Cherating (a popular tourist destination in the state of Pahang)...
Me: If you were bringing a guy back to see your parents, who do you think would be driving?
Emmy: Him lah, of course!
Me: Why him? YOU'RE the one who's bringing him back, what!
Emmy: Haiyoh don't take it so literally lah. He's the guy, so he should drive! That's his job!
Me: Huh? Got like that wan meh?
Emmy: Yes lah... anyway, I don't like driving.
Me: But he wouldn't know the way there. It's your hometown, you know.
Emmy: I can always give him directions. But he has to drive!
Me: Wah, like that also can...
I still don't know who'd be driving. In Emmy's case, it's a redundant question since she's from Sarawak and would have to fly home. In my case, I suppose a guy wouldn't be too comfortable cramped into my little Kancil for four hours... I don't mind driving, though, if he's not going to be a back-seat driver and criticise my driving all the way! :)
