Don't you DARE switch the channel!

My brain's fried. I haven't been writing much lately coz somehow there doesn't seem to be much that's worth saying. Plus, I'm dealing with some stuff that's going on inside of me, so that's sort of taking up quite a bit of my energy.

However, I have discovered that there's one thing I really cannot abide, and that is: people channel-surfing during tv commercial breaks.

I mean, like, what gives? It isn't like there's anything worth seeing on the other stations, and besides, you pop in like that in the middle of everything and you have no clue what on earth you're watching or what's going on. And then by the time you go back to the original station, the programme's started and you miss stuff and there's no continuity. (I'm sorry, Curt, I have to take Mrs Happy's side here. It's seriously irritating!! ;))

Contrary to popular belief, hogging the remote and channel-surfing is NOT a "guy thing". I live with five other girls, for crying out loud! Maybe, because I seldom watch tv, I like seeing commercials... hey, they're interesting, you know. Each commerical is supposed to tell a story -- that's how companies persuade you to buy their products; they need to tell you a convincing story. I especially like commercials that make me go, "Eh? What was THAT all about?"

Besides, commercials are for toilet breaks, for you to answer the text message that came in on your mobile phone when you were "otherwise occupied" earlier, discuss with the others what just happened in that last scene, run downstairs to get something to munch on, and so on. See? There is a purpose to commercial breaks.

Okay, okay, everybody can stop rolling their eyes now :P
