It's not all doom & gloom
Should not let people think that my life is all tears and misery. Got calls from two people today to help cheer me up, one from all the way in the US, and another from a fellow Malaysian blogger I met during one of the blogger meets. She says that for Christmas, she's gonna make me a 3-foot teddy bear filled with red beans! hehe
One of my housemates also emailed me and her words of support & encouragement touched me very much. Have I mentioned that I have great housemates? ;)
Also, I got a big 2005 diary-cum-planner from the insurance agent who insulted me by asking me if I were pregnant, and today I attended an event and got a desk calendar (I haven't looked at it yet so I don't know what the pictures are, but it's from a company that manufactures electrical products so maybe it's pictures of those products). Freebies are one of the occasional small perks that come with my job :)
And tomorrow I'm going to review a movie in the morning. Free movie! Yay! It's one I've been waiting and waiting to see, so I'm really looking forward to it.
My department at work had our annual "raffle" today -- we get lots of cosmetic products for free, so the boss keeps those until the end of the year, then packages them into various bags and we draw numbers to determine which bag we get. Once we discover the nature of our booty, we go around exchanging stuff with people :) I didn't get much that would be of use to me but at least I did manage to give some depilatory product to a colleague for a bottle of nail polish in exchange. I still dunno what to do with the men's cologne I got. Too bad there's no man in my life to pass it to ;)
