Anniversary
Today my blog turns two. I wonder if blog years are like dog years? I've seen so many blogs abandoned after a few months, weeks or even just after one post. Maybe that means my blog is really turning fourteen! Yeah!! :D
Not much to say about the anniversary. After all, it's not a momentous thing, is it? Except for me, because I always wondered if I would stick it out. So many projects I've started didn't last too long... there's a cross-stitch piece I've been working on since 1998 -- it's sitting in my cupboard at home, still half-done!
Organised, Sunflower, you need to get organised. *rolls eyes*
Anyway, I am brain-dead and bone-tired today, so here's a list of more momentous events that have occurred on June 15th:
- Actresses Helen Hunt and Courteney Cox-Arquette were born on this day in 1963 and 1964 respectively. (Okay, maybe this wasn't THAT momentous...)
- King John signed the Magna Carta on this day in 1211.
- Pope Leo X issued the Bull Exsurge Domine (Arise, O Lord) on this day in 1520, condemning Martin Luther for forty-one doctrinal errors and threatening him with excommunication if he would not recant.
- Arkansas became the 25th state of the USA on this day in 1836.
- Ronald Reagan was knighted by Queen Elizabeth on this day in 1989.
