Remember my tech support guy, Bob?
He and his wife are the ecstatic parents of a 3kg baby girl, born this morning at 3:30am. Smooth birth, "very fast" (according to the mother), no complications. I got the wicked pleasure of watching Bob turn into a nervous wreck when I met him at 1:30am; he was shut out of the delivery room, poor thing -- stupid public health system -- so I kept him company for a while.
The little one's Chinese name means "clothed in grace"; isn't that a beautiful name? I hope to visit mother & daughter in the hospital later this evening, and I'm trying to get Bob to blog about his new daddy experience. He reports that his daughter (*insert big silly grin and puffed-up chest*) has got quite a shock of hair and is very rosy-cheeked and chubby. Ah, babies... *dreamy sigh*
