Off to S. Korea!
I'm so excited! I'm going on a working trip to South Korea, Nov 6-10. It's my first time going so far away (I was born in England, but came back when I was 4, so I can't remember anything and that doesn't count). The trip's sponsored, all expenses paid, so — woohoo!!
It's winter in Korea now, I'm wondering how I'll withstand the cold weather... going to beg & borrow some warm clothing from more well-travelled friends ;)
This is all the more sweet because I've just been seconded to another department at work, for two months. When I heard about the trip, I thought I wouldn't have a chance; but my boss decided to send me and he arranged things with my new (temporary) boss so that I could go!
I'm so happy — and scared and excited all at the same time. The flight leaves at 1am Thursday, so I've gotta be in the airport by 11pm tomorrow night. Don't think I'll be able to blog whilst I'm there, so I'll see y'all when I get back!
(I'd be turning cartwheels if I could, but floating on air's so much better :P)
