This explains a lot

My inner child is ten years old today

My inner child is ten years old!

The adult world is pretty irrelevant to me.
Whether I'm off on my bicycle (or pony) exploring,
lost in a good book, or giggling with my best friend,
I live in a world apart, one full of adventure and wonder
and other stuff adults don't understand.

When I was younger, Dad used to say I lived in a world of my own. Always daydreaming and devouring fairy tales, I wove stories of my own inside my head, sharing them with no one.

Now I don't have stories anymore because my life IS the story. I know one person who reads this blog because it's "like Bridget Jones's Diary". I'm not sure whether that's a compliment — especially when he observes, "I say funny things, but funny things happen to you." Gee, thanks! :P LOL

But seriously, I always thought adults were those old, boring people with no sense of humour. It's why I never thought of myself as an adult. Me? One of those joyless stick-in-the-muds? No way, man!

Long live my inner child!!!
