Digital quilt

I'm thankful for the friends I've made online; through their blogs and the ensuing discussions & sharing of each other's lives, I've come to realise that I'm not alone. Life is a journey we make together.

It truly IS an "online community"... and, to recognise how meaningful this community has been to us, and celebrate it, Rachel Cunliffe at Cre8d Journal has come up with an interesting idea: a digital quilt:

Purpose: A creative way of celebrating and giving thanks - individually and jointly - to God for community found online.

How: Create your own 100px ラ 100px square: fill it with something that expresses your celebration and thanks for community found online. This could be a photo, drawing, colours, poetry, song, text, verse, symbols, anything that has meaning for you.

Alternative: Send up to 290 characters (including spaces) to me (and a colour you'd like them in too if you wish) and these will be made into a square for you (using a small - but readable - font).

As I've said, my blogging friends have shown me that we are all fellow travellers, journeying through life, walking side-by-side; most of us share the same struggles, same fears and doubts and worries.

So, I've chosen to have the words "Together on the journey", and, hopefully (if Rachel can do some design magic; *grin*) a sunflower. Why a sunflower? See this story... no prizes for guessing who the "wilful sunflower" is! :D

I'll jazz up the page when I have time

UPDATE: Here's my 'patch' of the quilt. Isn't it pretty?? :)
