Quick list

  • I now have an Amazon wishlist. I've never shopped at Amazon, which is probably a good thing, considering that throughout 2002 I was buying on average about 6 books a month! But anyway, Anne Geddes' books are on the list. They are not something I would buy for myself – at least, not at this point in time – but they are something I wish for, so I guess they earned their place on the "wishlist". :)
  • Please keep Neal in your prayers. I should have posted this earlier – his mother died last week (Friday, Jan 3) after a struggle with cancer.
  • I've added several blogs to my list of links on the left.
    1. Fragments From Floyd, who literally paints pictures with words
    2. The Gleeful Extremist, who's entertaining (doesn't his title make you wanna read his blog?)
    3. His Kingdom, one man's quiet-time journal on the Net (it's not updated daily, though, despite what his tagline says)
    4. IdeaJoy, who has linked to me for yonks, I think – thanks, Dave! :)
    5. I'm A Dad, a heart-warming blog about being a new dad... I want kids!!!!!! (where did that come from, you ask? I've always wanted kids! I just don't have anyone to have them with yet! hehehee)
    6. Rachel's Journal – most of you will know of her, since she's one of the moderators at Blogs4God. Rachel's journal was one of the first Christian blogs I came across when I first began surfing other blogs. I simply did what I do best: procrastinated about adding a link to her... (oops!)
    7. Real Life Preacher, who tells stories...
    8. Connexions, always an interesting read
    9. Under The Microscope, whom I don't read often enough. I resolve to make her one of my daily reads... hey, it's only 10 days into the new year, it's not too late to make more resolutions, is it?!
    10. Vestiges, articulate and introspective, like me (I mean the introspective part is like me!)
  • I've emailed Jordon Cooper twice about a broken link on his postmodern page and he ignored my mails. By that I don't mean that he didn't reply – although he didn't; I mean that he didn't fix the link. I wish he would, because "postmodern" is just so much Christian jargon to me, and I really would like to know why people still like to use the word. The link in question is the Brian McLaren link – it gives me a "404: Page not found" error; the email link is faulty too, I think, because I got my email returned the first time with a "user unknown" message. Then I tried the email link on his main page. Twice. No response. Ah, well... And if anybody can explain to me what "postmodern" means, I would be very grateful!
  • A lot of bloggers have been talking about U2 and Bono lately... maybe I should take up Dan Johnson's suggestion and form a club consisting of all the people who have no idea what everyone else is blogging about!
  • Good grief. Whatever next? Link via Wise Cat.
