Moved!
I'm exhausted. Tonight will be the first night in my new place. Everything is in disarray, both in the new place and the old. Tomorrow I'll have to go back to the old place after work to pack the final odds and ends, and make sure it's spick and span for the next tenant.
The Soulcare people were wonderful. Particularly Alpha, the pastor, who helped to assemble my towel rack, fix my mirror stand and change the doorknob. I had to get the doorknob changed because I don't have a key to the original one. Thank God for mechanical-minded guys. I expected to muddle my way through, but it was great to not have to!
It was embarrassing to have them see my old room. I've said I'm messy. Maybe I should just say I'm lazy. I hate admitting it, though. I'm just lazy to clean and wipe and dust regularly.
After moving the bookshelf and chest of drawers, dust was in evidence everywhere. Alpha's wife was sneezing non-stop. The room looked like a disaster area, which it's not supposed to after moving stuff out, it's supposed to look empty! and my brother was making sarcastic comments about how neat I am. *sigh*
Well, I hope the new place will be better. No, I hope I'll be better at the new place. That's why my key word for this year is discipline.
