Camp etc.

I'm going for camp tomorrow! Fri-Sun. And I'm driving there! It's in Bentong, Pahang. I hadn't intended to drive, but the camp organiser told me that there weren't enough drivers, so I volunteered. And I'm picking up three guys - I can't believe I'm the only girl, and I'm the one driving! – all of whom are strangers. Good grief! I was on the phone with my mom last night. First she said, "You're DRIVING?!" Then it was, "You're picking up three STRANGERS??!" Next it became, "They’re GUYS??!?!!" hehehehee... I told Mom, "Don't worry; I'm the driver, so the guys can't try anything funny. If they do, I might end up driving into a lamppost!" LOL

I'm so excited about the camp... even though I only know 3 people there, 2 of whom are Net friends whom I've yet to meet, and another is a Net friend I've met twice. I think it'll be an awesome time with God!! It's organised by GCF (Graduates' Christian Fellowship), and aims to "challenge young graduates to renew priorities/commitment to God and seek refreshment from Him (reestablish intimacy with God)". Cool stuff!

Also, I finally worked up enough guts to fiddle with this blog's template, and I managed to put in links to my homepage! Imagine that! Me, the technologically-challenged! LOL. I also managed to put a "mailto" command inside my name, so that if people want to email me to give me feedback or whatever, all they have to do is click on my name. Amazing. I am sooooo proud of myself... almost as proud as the day I managed to embed a MIDI file into my website. *grin*

I got a bumper sticker for my car today! Instead of the usual Christian clichés, mine says, "I'm laying my treasures up in heaven... just look at my car!" heheh. I figured it was appropriate after putting 5 dents in my car in 5 weeks! I also got five cassettes. Haven't bought any in years, so I wanted to get some with the more contemporary worship songs. I love singing to God in my little car, as I drive. It's always wonderful to praise Him!

I also bought a new pillow. My old one has gone all flat, and I wanted something soft that I could sink into and feel like I was being welcomed into Dreamland. So I went around the supermarket hugging all the pillows I could find. Must've made an interesting sight! Unfortunately, all the pillows were contained in plastic, so I couldn't get the full effect; the pillow I eventually got wasn't exactly what I wanted. But it's pretty OK anyway. :)
