Coincidentally...

You know what? I just realised that tomorrow is Merdeka Day, or Independence Day – for those who don’t know Malay. I'm not particularly patriotic, but I had decided to include a page about Malaysia on my website. And I've been working on that page today. I even managed to embed a MIDI file in the code, so that visitors will be able to listen to Malaysia’s national anthem! Woohooo!!! It just seems singularly apt.

The "Thoughts & Scribblings" part of the site is nearly ready. Just a few more things to add, and it'll be done. The only thing is, I keep on thinking of more things I want to put in. *doh* And if I DO add stuff, I'll need more link buttons and then I'll have to tweak the layouts all over again, page by page!!! Arrgh!

Starting tomorrow, I'm covering the build-up to the Miss Malaysia/World pageant grand finals. The finals fall next Fri, but my paper's been given a one-week exclusive behind-the-scenes thingy. So I'll be tagging along behind the contestants like a lost puppy dog! *laughs*

So no chance of driving next week, coz the contestants are gathered at a hotel in the middle of KL, and not only do I not know how to get there, there's also nowhere to park! Nowhere cheap, that is. Of course, I could always park in the hotel car park and end up paying an arm and a leg. *grimace*

Peter replied!!! Yaay! It's good to get in touch with him again after all this while. He says he'll be in KL sometime between tomorrow and Tuesday, but due to the pageant thing, I'm not sure whether I'll be free to meet up with him. Anyway, he'll be going to Hatyai (in Thailand) with some friends of his, so he probably won't be free to meet me anyway. He said I was a total nut for going to so much trouble and digging up so much stuff on him. Hey, is it my fault his name is all over the Net??! *grin*
