Sorry, I don't remember your name

Got another mail wanting a secret affair. I went back to the $%#$@! site and checked. It says the ad expired on the 27th, but the darn ad is still up, so I don't know what to think! I may start hunting around for the host. Hypermarket's ad always pops up when I access the site - I wonder what's their connection to the site? I shall shamelessly use my company's name to get results. Sometimes it helps to be a journalist. *grin*

Someone I've been writing to said he remembered meeting a person with my name at a camp years ago. In 1993, in fact! The worst part is, I don't remember him at all! Oops... this is so embarrassing. It really isn't nice to tell people that they're forgettable!!

Things like this happen to me all the time. I wonder if it means I'm particularly memorable? Once I bumped into someone who looked VERY familiar... I knew I'd met him at a camp somewhere, but I couldn't remember his name or anything about him! He, on the other hand, remembered not only my name - and my CHINESE name at that (do you know how hard Chinese names are to remember? LOL) - he also remembered my hometown, the fact that my dad's a doctor, and that I come from a Methodist church! Good gracious! That was scary...

I pretended I remembered him and chatted away like as if I knew exactly who he was. But really, I didn't have a clue! Later another friend "exposed" my charade and I was so embarrassed! (Moral of the story - don't pretend, heheh)

I think it must be old age - all this forgetfulness. I am SO bad with names, it isn't funny.

Oh yeah, the other day I was interviewing a lady called "Genevieve" for one of my stories, and I wasn't too sure how to pronounce her name, so I got through the whole interview without once saying her name. Quite a feat! *grin* It helped that she enjoyed telling me about her job, so she was talking most of the time!
