Money, O money
Alpha asked, "Why didn't you just take your boss's loan? It would have saved the need to tell your mom."
I did take the boss's loan... but I wanted to repay him as soon as possible. And, calculating next month's budget, I didn't think I would make it if I took RM300 out of it, sigh. After paying tithes, rental, phone bill and credit card bill, then factoring in transportation (I take cabs everywhere) and food, hmm the money just disappears!
Met Janelle up for dinner last night and went to American Chillis in Bangsar. Must eat sandwiches for the next 3 days to make up for that... just kidding!
Last week went to a Japanese restaurant with Karen, Mel and James - ex-ATC collegemates. That was another RM30 or so. Good grief...
Really, I don't know what my friends have against mamak... heheh!
My cell group is another "wai sek" (glutton) group... last month we had a "girls' night out" and went to Chilli's in Mid Valley. The cell is now planning to have "outings" every month (read: "fei-low-ship"!). There's talk of steamboat, seafood and goodness knows what else. Most of them have been working longer than I have - and I daresay draw larger salaries than I do. They are the type to buy RM250 tickets to see Chang & Eng (the musical), etc. and think nothing of it. I think I must look for another group of friends to mix with on a regular basis. My cell group makes me feel sorry for myself :)
On another note, yesterday Janelle was to pick me up from Fajar Supermarket. She was delayed and I was restless - I just wanted to nibble something, so I bought pink candy floss! Jan was like, "Aiyo... you all dressed up, looking like a professional, and there you are, eating CANDY FLOSS..." I grinned and said it was the child in me coming out!!
